What We Offer

Therapy is not about fixing who you are. It is about creating space to understand your story, reconnect with your strengths, and bring your thinking mind and emotional mind into balance.

Healing rarely happens through more thinking alone. It happens when we learn to understand the stories our minds create while also reconnecting with the deeper experiences beneath them.

"Every person, couple, and family has a unique story. Our services are designed to help you better understand that story, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change through compassionate, evidence-based care."

Individual Therapy

Life's challenges can leave us feeling stuck between what we know and what we feel. Individual therapy provides a confidential space to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for lasting change. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, trauma, or relationship concerns, we help you create greater balance between your thinking brain and emotional mind.

Group Therapy

Healing often happens in connection with others. Group therapy provides a supportive environment where individuals can share experiences, gain new perspectives, develop interpersonal skills, and realize they are not alone in their struggles. Guided by a trained therapist, groups promote growth, resilience, and meaningful connection. Our clients benefit from a number of group therapy topics, which include:

· Anxiety for teens
· Social skills
· Process groups (i.e., sharing general struggles and concerns)
· Generalized anxiety
· Panic disorder
· Depression
· Bereavement
· Substance Abuse
· Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
· Attention Deficit
· Hyperactivity Disorder
· Cultural Trauma

Parenting Support

Parenting is one of life's most rewarding and challenging roles. Whether you're navigating behavioral concerns, emotional difficulties, developmental challenges, or family transitions, we provide practical guidance and evidence-based strategies to help strengthen parent-child relationships, improve communication, and foster healthy emotional development.

Couples Therapy

Every relationship encounters challenges. Couples therapy provides a safe and structured environment to explore communication difficulties, recurring conflicts, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, and major life transitions. Our goal is to help partners better understand one another, strengthen emotional bonds, and develop healthier ways of navigating life's challenges together.

Therapy for Pilots & Aviation Professionals

The aviation profession demands exceptional focus, responsibility, and performance under pressure. Pilots and aviation professionals often face unique stressors, including irregular schedules, fatigue, high-stakes decision-making, and concerns about career implications when seeking support. We provide a confidential and supportive space to address stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and overall well-being while understanding the unique demands of the aviation industry.

 Psychosocial Assessments

A comprehensive psychosocial assessment provides a deeper understanding of an individual's emotional, behavioral, social, and environmental functioning. Through a thorough evaluation process, we gather meaningful information to identify strengths, challenges, diagnoses when appropriate, and treatment recommendations. Assessments can support therapy planning, educational accommodations, medical care coordination, and other clinical needs.

· Intellectual (IQ)
· Academic Achievement
· Behavioral
· Personality
· Projective (e.g., Rorschach Inkblot Test)

Work Stress & Burnout

Modern work environments can place tremendous demands on our time, energy, and emotional well-being. Chronic stress, burnout, workplace conflict, leadership pressures, and work-life imbalance can impact both professional performance and personal fulfillment. Therapy helps individuals develop healthier coping strategies, establish boundaries, improve resilience, and reconnect with what matters most both inside and outside of work.

Family Therapy

Families are complex systems where each person's experiences affect the whole. Family therapy helps improve communication, strengthen relationships, resolve conflicts, and foster deeper understanding among family members. Together, we work to create healthier patterns of interaction so families can move from frustration and disconnection toward trust, support, and connection.

Military Families

Military life presents unique challenges that can affect individuals, couples, and families. Frequent relocations, deployments, reintegration, career demands, and extended separations often create stress that impacts relationships and emotional well-being. We provide culturally informed support for active-duty service members, veterans, spouses, and children, helping military families build resilience, strengthen connections, and successfully navigate the demands of military life.

Immigration & Acculturation Counseling

Moving to a new country is more than a change in location—it is a journey that often involves balancing multiple identities, cultures, expectations, and responsibilities. Whether you are living in the United States on a visa, pursuing permanent residency, or have already become a citizen, the immigration experience can bring unique emotional challenges, including isolation, homesickness, cultural adjustment, family pressures, career uncertainty, and feelings of not fully belonging in either culture.

As an immigrant myself, I understand many of the personal and professional challenges that come with building a life in a new country. Immigration counseling provides a supportive space to process these experiences, strengthen resilience, navigate life transitions, and develop a sense of connection and purpose while honoring both your heritage and your future.

About Us

Baltimore Psychotherapy

Vamsi Tummalachetty

Founder & Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Tummalachetty’s work is grounded in the belief that healing occurs when insight and emotion begin working together rather than in opposition.

I believe that beneath most anxiety, conflict, emotional overwhelm, or disconnection is a deeper story waiting to be understood.

Many people come to therapy feeling divided within themselves — one part trying to stay logical, controlled, and protective, while another part carries emotion, fear, longing, hurt, or exhaustion. Over time, the thinking brain and emotional mind can begin working against each other instead of together.

My approach to therapy focuses on helping individuals, couples, and families better understand these internal patterns with curiosity, compassion, and insight.

My work integrates psychodynamic therapy, attachment-focused treatment, Functional Family Therapy, and neuroscience-informed approaches to help clients move beyond symptom management toward deeper emotional understanding and lasting change.

My background includes work within foster care systems and family-centered treatment settings, where I developed a deep appreciation for how relationships, emotional safety, and early experiences shape the way we understand ourselves and connect with others.

In couples therapy, I incorporate principles from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners better understand emotional cycles, communication patterns, and unmet attachment needs beneath conflict.

I view therapy as more than problem-solving.
It is a process of understanding the emotional meaning beneath reactions, behaviors, and relational patterns — so healing can occur not only intellectually, but emotionally.

My goal is to create a therapeutic space that feels thoughtful, emotionally safe, grounded, and deeply human.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • trauma

  • attachment injuries

  • emotional regulation difficulties

  • relationship conflict

  • reunification and family transitions

  • ADHD and behavioral concerns
